UMAMI GRANOL will pop up at The Hub for its Test Thursday event on August 6!
As the first Cantonese granola, made small-batch in Brooklyn, the business will be sharing two blends available for sampling and purchase at the pop-up.
Two blends draw from Cantonese culinary tradition: Dau-Si-Do, their savory umami granola carrying dim sum tradition, and Dragon-Eyed Wolf, their floral sweet granola carrying tong sui tradition.
At the pop-up, both blends will be available for sampling served with cold brew tea and yogurt pairings. Customers can purchase the Discover 2.5oz pouch at $5 or the full 8oz pouch at $16 per blend.
The pop-up event is open to all during the following times:
10am to 12pm at 115 Bowery (The Hub)
4pm to 8pm at 115 Bowery (The Hub)
About the Founder:
Cindy (芝) is a first-generation Cantonese American founder and the creator of UMAMI GRANOLA, the first Cantonese granola.
Growing up in a Cantonese household, her maternal grandmother in Chicago and her paternal grandmother in Guangzhou each carried distinct culinary traditions that became the foundation for the brand's first two blends. During her college years, she gained her first hands-on food business experience running marketing, operations, and vendor events for her uncle's restaurant from the ground up.
With 20 years in marketing and advertising across Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, she brought that professional experience to building UMAMI GRANOLA.
