About Bo Liu:
Bo Liu is an NY state licensed architect and a Senior Associate at Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) with 12+ years of experience.
Her work focuses on public realm projects—spanning museums, schools, and community centers—through the lens of addressing uncertain futures shaped by climate change and shifting urban needs. She has designed several high-profile institutional projects covered by The New York Times, The Guardian, and The Wall Street Journal, including the recently opened Victoria and Albert Storehouse in London, 15 Hudson Yards in New York, and the Centre for Civilizations, Cultures, and Cities at the University of Toronto.
She is currently leading Casa Belongó, a 299 Seat Jazz Performance Hall and Community center and the cultural anchor of a 341-unit Affordable Housing Development in the heart of East Harlem, which broke ground earlier this year with Mayor Mamdani. She has also taught at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Art and Planning, and is a passionate advocate for mentoring students across local New York schools such as City College, City tech Brooklyn, and NJIT.
