Join us in welcoming Artist/Chef Jenny Lin Acosta as she transforms the Hub into an intimate dinner experience. She will weave food and place into a living art piece centered around her maternal grandparents’ Hainanese Chicken Rice.
This evening of dinner & art is a collage of my experience with gathering around food, and the pursuit of sustained ordinary life as extraordinary legacy.
Hainanese Chicken Rice has been a symbol of gathering and celebration in my mom's multi-generational home growing up. Beyond just a “pop-up” meal, I see this as a living art piece, reminding us that sharing a meal and allowing ourselves to cherish ordinary life can be an act of profound care and connection.
Each ticket gets you a seat at a multi-course, family-style dinner, and an art print by Jenny to take home with you. Please arrive promptly at 6pm as respect to our team and the meal. Plus, latecomers might miss a good joke and chicken first dibs! If you have any questions or if you would like to attend the event, but find it cost-prohibitive, please feel free to reach out to us at chinatown@welcometochinatown.com.
Hope to see you there, dinner’s almost ready.

About In Good Company
We invite you to join us for the first installment of In Good Company, a series of evenings at The Hub in which we will experiment with the ideas of home, community, and nostalgia through multi-sensory experiences.
With this new Welcome to Chinatown initiative, we seek to capture the magic that happens when the stories behind the art are brought to life. It is home to a space where guests and hosts feel safe and inspired to engage with each other on a deeper level through the commonalities of our personal and family histories, especially the things that can feel ordinary and routine.
Each occasion at the Hub will bring something new, but you can guarantee you’ll always leave with a full belly and a warm heart.
In addition to sharing our passion for bringing people together, our goal with In Good Company is to establish a platform for emerging creators to share their work with a captivated audience and for the opportunity to collaborate with each other to create something truly unique for each occasion. If you are interested in participating in a future In Good Company event, please reach out!
Don’t worry, you’re in good company.
Note: 100% of your “additional contribution” will go towards Welcome to Chinatown, ensuring Chinatown stays open for generations to come. Think of it as tipping the staff at the restaurant for all their work lifting Chinatown up :-).
