In the Mood For Food 2.0: Celebrating Chinatown With More Food and Love

Chinatown has always been fondly known for its culinary fare and the NYC community once again showed its love, while enjoying the area’s tasty eats, at our 2nd Block Walk.

A gorgeous fall weekend, along with the celebratory mood post-election results, contributed to the high energy of our event guests as they wound their way through the streets of Chinatown. This time, we partnered with Hester Street Fair, who helped us keep the event safe and organized.

Because of the rave reviews we received from our first event, we offered 2 paths: one that mirrored the original track while also providing another course that introduced a new set of local restaurants. Sadly, Grand Seoul, who was in our first Block Walk, closed right before our second food crawl. With events like these, we continue to support Chinatown establishments and hope to give these places more recognition to mitigate closures. Through this event, we were able to give more than $5K to these small businesses and introduce new customers.

A huge thank you to our participating businesses that made this a great success:

Thank you also to our guests, volunteers, Sounds of Chinatown, and Hester Street Fair- You made this possible and have helped these businesses in their time of need.
