Book Talk & Q&A featuring Elizabeth Ai, award-winning director, and Jezz Chung, author and multidisciplinary artist, as they explore Ai’s new book New Wave: Rebellion and Reinvention in the Vietnamese Diaspora. Discover how the post-Vietnam War generation found identity and community in the synthesized sounds of 80s New Wave music.

New Wave tells the untold story of Vietnamese youth in the West who embraced 80s synth-pop, blending rebellion, reinvention, and resilience. Featuring rare archival photos and essays by prominent Vietnamese voices, this is a celebration of a powerful cultural movement.
