Join Legal Aid Society and Department of Small Business Services to learn about the essential legal documents required after forming a business entity, such as a LLC or corporation.
Participants will learn about key materials that establish and verify business ownership, including operating agreements, bylaws, and ownership structures as well as other critical post-formation requirements.
After the workshop portion of the event, participants will have the opportunity for personalized support through:
One-on-one legal consultations with Legal Aid Society
Financial consultations with NYC Department of Small Business Services
These consultations will help business owners strengthen their documentation, better position themselves for financing opportunities, and avoid common barriers when seeking loans. Attendees who wish to participate in consultations will need to bring in legal and/or loan documents related to their business.
This is a hybrid event. Please note that if you are attending virtually, the zoom link will be sent out a day before the event, and you will not be able to participate in the one-on-one consultations.
