The Longevity Fund Applications Now Open!
We’re excited to launch the grant application for The Longevity Fund, our relief fund for Manhattan Chinatown small businesses. Business owners in Chinatown are encouraged to apply, and the application will be open until Monday, August 17.
For business owners:
The Longevity Fund aims to support immigrant-owned, locally-serving small businesses located in Manhattan Chinatown. This fund will prioritize the most at-risk businesses based on cultural and socioeconomic barriers that have prevented them from applying for assistance programs, and will also consider how much their shuttering will impact the Chinatown community as a whole. This grant will provide assistance in the form of $5,000 (via check) for small businesses located in Manhattan Chinatown to alleviate overhead costs (rent, labor, insurance, utilities,etc.).

For supporters and donors:
Thank you for your continued support and love for Chinatown! Please help us reach our fundraising goal of $200,000 and achieve our first fundraising sprint of $50,000 by August 31, so we’re able to distribute our first round of funds to businesses.
As a small token of our appreciation, we’re excited to share limited edition art prints by Welcome to Chinatown volunteer Emily B. Yang for the first 20 $500+ donors. If you have already donated, you will be contacted shortly by Welcome to Chinatown for your shipping details.
These hand-carved stamps inked onto fine paper were inspired by: "My story of being Asian in America resembles a sense of homesickness for a place I have never been. So on warm mornings in New York City, I find the faces of my loved ones in Columbus Park. Good morning Chinatown, I hope to see you again soon."
For $100+ donors, The Longevity Fund magnets, designed by our lead designer Harry Trinh. If you have already donated $100+, you will be contacted shortly by Welcome to Chinatown.
Any donation amount or sharing the word makes a critical difference as we work together toward our goal of keeping the spirit and vibrancy of Chinatown alive.
