Welcome to Chinatown Holiday Fundraiser
Five years ago, Welcome to Chinatown launched with a simple but urgent mission: to keep Chinatown open.
Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted community anchor - driving economic empowerment, cultural preservation, and multigenerational resilience in Manhattan’s Chinatown.
This December, we’re celebrating five years of community-powered impact, and you’re invited to be part of it.
About the Event
Join us at Golden Hof, the stunning new restaurant from acclaimed Chef Sam Yoo, for a special night of connection, celebration, and giving. From curated bites and drinks to a silent auction and thoughtful networking moments this is more than a holiday party; it’s a gathering of the community that’s made our progress possible.
Whether you're an old friend or a new supporter, this is your chance to invest in the future of Chinatown.
Why This Matters
At Welcome to Chinatown, we operate at the crossroads of economic development and cultural heritage. Our work powers real outcomes:
82% of businesses we serve are Asian-owned
70% are women-owned
Nearly 40% are in their first year, ready to grow, formalize, and scale
Average size? 3–4 employees so every engagement supports local families
From first-time entrepreneurs to beloved legacy storefronts, our programs, capital, and coaching strengthen the backbone of NYC’s cultural economy.
Why It’s Personal
This celebration is hosted at Golden Hof, a powerful symbol of our work in action. After a devastating fire, Chef Sam Yoo’s restaurant Golden Diner was awarded a $10,000 grant from our Longevity Fund to stay open. In 2025, we supported the opening of his newest restaurant, Golden Hof, by helping connect him to investors. Now, we're gathering in his space to honor the very type of resilience we’re here to protect.
Tickets & Sponsorships
Our Holiday Celebration only happens every two years (and always sells out).
Individual tickets include bites, drinks, and full access to the evening’s programming
Sponsorships come with brand visibility, curated networking, and meaningful connection to a mission that resonates across NYC and the AAPI community
Our last event at Double Chicken Please welcomed 150 guests and facilitated relationships that sparked business partnerships, volunteer engagement, and donor stewardship.
This year, we’re going even bigger, with 175 guests, exclusive access to Golden Hof, and a high-touch, high-impact experience.
Help Us Keep Chinatown Open
Every dollar raised from this event supports our Small Business Innovation Hub, which offers bilingual programming, technical assistance, and pathways to long-term sustainability for hundreds of small businesses.
If you believe in economic equity, cultural preservation, and uplifting immigrant communities, this is your moment to give back.
